Notes

The ELISA album is an International album designed to bring some of Elisa’s most popular songs out of Italy. On closer inspection, even if it contains songs from all the albums recorded so far, it may be seen as an International release of 'Then Comes The Sun' but with a revised tracklist.

It is distributed by Sony Music Entertainment / Epic in several European countries and, for the first time, an album by Elisa is distributed outside of Europe. In fact it finds a distribution in New Zealand, South Africa, Turkey, and Israel as well.

In the press release it is stated: "What special magic does Elisa weave? It’s simply that her songs are sung in English, but they speak the International language of soul. Not soul as in a brand of music, but soul as in songs that comes from that human sector. Songs that map every contour of the heart, songs that communicate love, pain, desire and feeling with a passionate insight that is rare in one so young". «My songs are all about not trying to escape emotion» Elisa explains. «I want to use my songs to express something true about myself, about all of us. They are about the reactions to emotions and not trying to escape those feelings. And the sound is eclectic because while my heart is always true it changes like the seasons. I write songs to evolve».

The song ‘Come Speak To Me’ is chosen to launch this work and is released internationally between the Summer of 2002 and 2003 in a revised version mixed by Martin Terefe, Swedish producer (Jason Mraz, James Morrison, KT Tunstall, Craig David, Cat Stevens, etc.), and Michael Brauer (Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Ben Folds, John Mayer, Regina Spektor, etc). The video to the song is filmed by Philippe Andre in the desert of Toledo. It is massively broadcast on the major music television channels.

The song is on the air throughout Europe and consequently enters the radio and sale charts (12th in sales in Spain, 18th in Europe, top ten in several European radio stations, etc). The remix of ‘Come Speak To Me’ by ‘Deep Dish’ draws crowds across all of the clubs around the world (not only in Europe indeed but also in some clubs in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa this remix, along with another one by ‘4HERO’, is published and distributed on vinyl). ‘Come Speak To Me’ is also translated in Spanish and becomes 'Háblame'. It is included in a special edition of both the album and the CD single released in Spain.

The album as well makes its appearance in the sales charts in European countries.

Elisa returns to play in Europe (London, Brussels, Berlin, Oslo, etc) on occasion of showcases to present the album to the press. She also takes part in some television music for Spain and Germany.
