Notes
Soundtrack '96-'06 is the title of Elisa’s first Italian collection of greatest hits. The tracklist is made up of seventeen songs that are among the most representative of her ten year career. The album was conceived as a book of stories, ideas taken from the Elisa’s diary, fragments longing to give a more intimate and private look into her world.
'Soundtrack '96-'06' was also released in a special edition plus a bonus DVD including eighteen videoclips that go from 'Sleeping In Your Hand' to 'Together', from 'Almeno Tu Nell’universo' to 'Teach Me Again', the duet with Tina Turner.
In addition to hits like 'Labyrinth', 'Gift', 'Broken', and 'Luce', the album includes four previously unreleased tracks: 'Gli Ostacoli Del Cuore', 'Stay', and 'Qualcosa Che Non C’E'', produced by Corrado Rustici, as well as 'Eppure sentire', produced and arranged by Elisa, Paolo Buonvino, Ali Soleimani Noori and Rocco Peruzzi. Paolo Buonvino is the author of the music of the song which is also the title track of the film 'Manuale D'Amore – Capitoli Successivi’ by Giovanni Veronesi.
'Gli Ostacoli Del Cuore' was the first single and is sung by Italian songwriter Luciano Ligabue, who for the first time writes a song (both the lyrics and the music) for another artist. In the finale, he duets with Elisa.
In 2007 a special live edition of the album and containing a CD+DVD is released in Italy. It is simply titled 'Soundtrack '96-'06 Live'.
'Soundtrack '96-'06 Live' is also the first live album by Elisa and recalls the two dates of 'Soundtrack Live Tour' recorded at Datch Forum Milan.
So far, the 'Soundtrack ’96-‘06' album has sold more than 600,000 units just in Italy alone. |
