Yes, I was there at the awesome Bowery Ballroom show. Elisa and the band were in super form. I also met some people that I wish I could have hung with all night and had a few drinks with. I never thought I would do this but...I actually flew from Italy to see Elisa play in New York. It all started on September 20th the amazing show at the Arena in Verona. I went home that night and looked up the website to see where she was going to be next, Milan, Rome...nope too close let's fly to New York!!! My partner surprised me with a plane ticket to NY and I was off. I was right there, under her mic, a foot away, I wasn't going to let anyone get between me and the concert after all I flew all the way from small town Italy to see her. Those of you who were there know...mesmerizing, hypnotizing, emotional, she can trigger such feelings and emotions with her music. After the concert I snuck my way in the meet and greet, I walked up to her and introduced myself, and she was just what I thought, humble, kind, sweet, gracious, true. I wanted to keep her to myself all night but..we know that can't happen so I thanked her and wished her luck on the tour.
I lived in the States for many years and I always thought that Elisa's music is universal and that she could do well in the States. I am happy that she is giving it a go, although we know how hard it is to make it in the american commercial pop music market. I think it needs to come from us, her fans. I have shared her music with as many people as possible and if they do the same we can start and "elisa movement"
